Our tour usually starts very early, between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., when a representative from our agency will pick up our clients at their respective hotels in Cusco.
After a journey of about 2 hours by vehicle, breakfast is offered in the community of Cusipata.
Next, the trip continues to the starting point of the trek, which is at about 4,350 meters (14,271 feet) of altitude.
The total trek lasts approximately 3 hours (round trip) and covers about 7 km (4.3 miles).
The initial part is flatter, but the last section is a steep and more demanding climb.
The maximum altitude is reached at the summit of the mountain, around 5,030 meters (16,500 feet).
If you do not wish to hike the complete ascent, horses can be rented along the route.
The journey culminates upon reaching the summit, where you will enjoy the landscape and have about 30 minutes to take photographs.
After the trek, you return to Cusipata for lunch.
At the end of our tour, we return to the city of Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
