Rainbow Mountain Tour Information

Our tour usually starts very early, between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., when a representative from our agency will pick up our clients at their respective hotels in Cusco.

• After a journey of about 2 hours by vehicle, breakfast is offered in the community of Cusipata.

• Next, the trip continues to the starting point of the trek, which is at about 4,350 meters (14,271 feet) of altitude.

• The total trek lasts approximately 3 hours (round trip) and covers about 7 km (4.3 miles).

• The initial part is flatter, but the last section is a steep and more demanding climb.

• The maximum altitude is reached at the summit of the mountain, around 5,030 meters (16,500 feet).

• If you do not wish to hike the complete ascent, horses can be rented along the route.

Arrival at the 7 Colors Mountain (Rainbow Mountain)

The journey culminates upon reaching the summit, where you will enjoy the landscape and have about 30 minutes to take photographs.

• After the trek, you return to Cusipata for lunch.

• At the end of our tour, we return to the city of Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
