Tambopata Jungle trip 3 Days /2nigths
Day 1– Paradise –Ecoadeventure-kayak- Monkey Island.
On arrival of your flight or bus to Puerto Maldonado, our guides or staff will meet you at the airport or bus station and transfer you to the Centre of the town where you can experience the exotic local market depending on the arrival time we may have the first lunch here or while travelling to the lodge or in the lodge. Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will continue onto the Capitania port. We take our motor boat along the Madre de Dios river for approximately 1 hour to PARADISE Eco Lodge and soon after leaving port sail directly through the confluence of two large jungle tributaries of the Amazon, the Madre de Dios and the Tambopata; the majestic sight of the meeting of these two mother rivers opens us to feel a deeper contact with mother nature. A cool welcome drink awaits you will be shown to your bungalows to settle in.
01 Day Eco-Adventure
8:00 am Meeting at our office for the corresponding registration, then we will go to Puerto Acosta to board a boat, in which we will travel down the Madre de Dios River for approximately 30 minutes until we reach the facilities of the Lodge Paradise Amazon Eco lodge
After meeting our staff and leaving the luggage at the Eco hostel we will go to our adventure center.
Canopy
Walk through the forest (200 meters) until you reach the Canopy Tower, which is 35 m. Of height that is built at the foot of an immense lupuna ( ) Representative tree of the Amazon due to its majestic size, that during the day there is the possibility of seeing a variety of birds in addition to the fabulous natural landscape on the trees, the guide will explain about the fauna and flora of the place.
Zip Line.
After enjoying the walk through the Canopy bridge, we will start with the activity of the zip line, the guide will explain how to do it, the equipment used to carry out the activity and the necessary equipment for your safety will be placed on you after the instructions given to you. Provided by the Guide you will be able to slide down the 190-meter-long zip line, at the other end the assistant will receive you to help you cross another small 100m bridge. and return by another 190 m long line shot to the starting point.
After leaving all the equipment we return to the Lodge for lunch.
Lunch
After a comforting lunch we can take a nap in the hammocks, after that we will be ready for our next adventure.
Kayak
The kayak activity starts from the Lodge, we will take the kayaks and the oars and after putting on the life jackets we will board the boat and then start the activity and enjoy this adventure, for your safety there will always be a boat that will follow the group accompanying you down the river A good opportunity to bathe in the waters of Madre de Dios and to de-stress from our activities in the city.
Monkey island
The island of the monkeys is located 15 minutes from the Lodge Rio Abajo, on this island we can find a group of Capuchin monkeys, Black Monkey ( Cebus apella ), White Monkey ( Cebus albifrons ), which are used to humans and that is why it is It is possible to get close to them, feed them and see their coexistence between different species. It is a nice experience, after being with the monkeys we return to the Lodeg around 4:30 pm.
At night we will have one of our night activities.
Caiman spott
known as alligator or alligator spotting where we will embark on a boat equipped with a reflector and we will go along the banks of the river in search of some alligators, thanks to the light and eyes of these alligators they are easy to locate at night, we will be able to appreciate White alligators and dwarf caimans of regular size, 1 meter or meter and a half, with a little more luck you will be able to see large adult caimans.
After the activitreturn to the Lodge for dinner at 7:30 pm. After dinner we will be talking about the next activity for the next day.
Day 2: Paridese lodge – Sandoval Lake
After a great jungle breakfast, we take 1 and half hour walk to the famous Sandoval Lake, passing through virgin forest, home to beautiful flora. Its way by immense ancient trees and entangled vines; multihued flower and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, coloured butterflies, alligators, turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on this one of the most beautiful lakes in region.
One of the most awe inspiring features of the jungle in the enormity of the trees and you will have the experience of standing at the base of the huge kapok tree. We may take a short visit on the traditional farming areas to see the production of regular supplies.
Day 3: Paradise lodge – Parrot’s Clay Lick – Ese´eja Native Family.
Very early departure to witness the spectacle of the Parrot’s Clay Lick, sunrise on the rivers as we journey one and half hours to the wall before hundreds of green parrots congregate at first light each morning. We will generally be able to spend about one hour here before reboarding the boat to enjoy breakfast at the lodge.
In the afternoon, we take to the majestic Madre de Dios River and set course downstream for an hour for the Native Community of Ese´Ejas, the largest Ese Eja community numbering about 200 families, of which we will be visiting two. From our boat will be able to observe the rich wildlife of the jungle along the banks of the river and the magnificent flora of this natural pharmacopeia. The Project “Rescuing Cultural Values“, situated on Gamitana Island, is working with two families who will show us the culture of their ancestors, their language and customs, clothing and dances.
In our modern, civilized world we have all but forgotten the existence of ancestral cultures and traditions. An ancient indigenous tradition like the Ese´Eja reveals to us the customs and way of life of indigenous peoples. They gift us with the opportunity to have a direct contact with a people of ancient warriors and hunters and to share their ancestral ways. We can return this gift by helping their economy and buying some of the products they make.
After visit the family we back to the lodge and prepare the luggage for transfer you to the airport or bus station.
